English Courses For Young Learners

2023-2024 Academic Year English Courses Registrations for Kids and Teens Started!

Turkish-American Association English education programs for primary, secondary and high school students aged 7-17 start in September and are completed in June. Students who successfully complete their education by attending the course for one academic year proceed to their higher-level English education appropriate for both their ages and English levels in the following academic year.

Education Methodology

Four different skills of the English language are taught in conjunction with each other conducting different applications and activities.  For example, it is aimed for the student to comprehend a listening or reading text and convey what he/she understands by speaking or writing.

A natural atmosphere in which the student can learn by exploring and applying is created to avoid (instead of) memorizing grammatical rules directly.

Within this period, the teacher is a guide who designs the learning environment, transmits information, facilitates learning and makes it easier for students.

About Curriculum, Course Content and Levels

Our classes are formed according to both the ages and English levels of our students. English Speaking skills play a major role in the student’s group placement. English courses for kids and teenagers are separated into three main groups: 7 to 9-year-old students (Primary Groups), 10 to 13-year-old students (Junior Groups), 14 to 17-year-old students (Teen Groups).

Course days consist of a total of 108 hours; 1 day / 3 hours a week, mostly on Saturdays or Sundays, with morning and afternoon options.

It’s aimed for our students to acquire knowledge by having fun and making English a part of their daily lives with the course content designed to provide 21st-century skills such as critical and creative thinking, understanding effective communication, researching, problem-solving, decision making, and learning technology literacy.

In addition to their weekly lesson hours, our students aged over 9 and attending our KIDS and/or TEENS courses also benefit from our online EFL CAFE (Free English-Speaking lessons), which are held with a maximum number of 12 students at their own level and teachers.
