English Summer Courses For Children Aged 7-17

Now that schools are closed and summer vacation has begun, the Turkish American Association offers online and in-person English courses for children ages 7 to 17. These courses provide an engaging way for your children to continue learning English through speaking practice while having fun over the summer break.

Curriculum and Content Overview

Students can enroll in our summer English program, which runs from July 1, 2024 through August 23, 2024. The program consists of four 10-day sessions that are not repetitive. 

Lessons are designed for students of all ages and levels using Microsoft OneNote Class Notebook. The curriculum contains 39 topics that introduce a new lesson each day. Students can choose to participate for 10 days (one session), 20 days (two sessions), or longer. This flexible format allows families to customize their summer English experience. 

Classes take place weekdays from 2:00 – 4:35 PM. Through three hours of interactive English instruction daily, our goal is for students to not only improve their speaking, vocabulary, listening and reading skills, but also develop 21st century skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, research, problem-solving, decision making, and digital literacy. We look forward to providing your children with an engaging educational experience this summer.

Course Levels:

⁕ Children aged 7-17 that are at least (A2) Elementary and above can participate in this program.

⁕ Children aged 7-8 or 9-11 at the (A1) Beginner level can participate in 96-hour Intensive Summer English Program.

Our classes are formed according to both the ages and English levels of our students. English Speaking skills play a major role in the student’s group placement. 

Course Start and End Dates:

⁕ Term 1: 1 - 12 July 2024 

⁕ Term 2: 16 - 26 July 2024 

⁕ Term 3: 29 July 2024 - 9 August 2024

⁕ Term 4: 12 - 23 August 2024

Online Placement Test and Registration Process:

The student who will enroll in English Summer Courses for Children Aged 7-17 must take one of the 7 to 8 year-old, 9 to 12-year-old or 13 to 17-year-old English Placement Test in accordance with the student’s age, an appointment must be made by the student's parents for the English oral assessment stage to be conducted by the Academic Department specialist. 

Our Academic Department specialist will call you by phone on the day and time of your choice for the appointment to evaluate your English verbal skills and inform both the student and the student's parents in details about your enquiries and all our current programs suitable for the student's English level.

For students who have not taken the Placement Exam and have not completed the English oral assessment stage, direct registration cannot be performed.
