What is the SAT?

The SAT is a standardized test administered by the College Board, essential for admission to undergraduate schools. Originally known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, it assesses candidates' verbal, written, and mathematical skills. The SAT consists of two sections: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and Math, each scored on a 200-800 scale, with a maximum possible score of 1600. It's a critical step for entry into the American university system and widely recognized by American universities.
