AIAT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

We are excited to introduce Artificial Intelligence Across Türkiye (AIAT)—a brand-new, free teacher-training program organized by the Turkish American Association and funded by the U.S. Department of State. AIAT brings cutting-edge AI education to five major cities across Türkiye.

What is the AIAT Program?

Organized by the Turkish American Association in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State, Artificial Intelligence Across Türkiye (AIAT) is a free, in-person professional development program for English teachers in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Erzurum, and Adana.

Approximately 480 participants will receive hands-on, AI-focused teacher training during one of two program cohorts: February–March 2026 or March–May 2026. All sessions will be conducted in English and led by expert instructors with experience in integrating artificial intelligence into language education.

Selected participants will attend weekly, in-person sessions held in their own cities. Each session will last two hours and will be facilitated by qualified English instructors specializing in the use of AI in language teaching.

Participants who attend at least 70% of the program will receive the official “Artificial Intelligence Across Türkiye (AIAT)” Certificate.

Who Can Apply?

This program is open to individuals who:

• Reside in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Erzurum, or Adana,

• Are currently teaching English or being currently enrolled in a university English language teaching program,

• Have a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence in ELT,

• Have at least a C1 (Upper-intermediate) level of English proficiency,

• Can commit to joining the weekly, evening in-person sessions for six weeks in either program period.

Application Period: December 10, 2025 – January 9, 2026

Application Review: January 9 – 15, 2026

Announcement of Results: January 15 – 20, 2026

Cohort 1: February 9 – March 27, 2026

(No classes March 16–20)

Cohort 2: March 30 – May 15, 2026

(No class on May 1)

In-Person Sessions

All face-to-face lessons will take place once a week on a weekday, between 18:30 and 20:20.
